S. Scott Tapper, M.D. is an accomplished and talented Board Certified Vascular Surgeon. He is a member of the Florida Medical Association. This Association acts as an advocate for physicians and their patients to promote the public health, ensure high standards in medical education and ethics and to enhance the quality and availability of health care. He is double board certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery, a Fellow of he American College of Surgery and a member of numerous Vascular Surgical Societies,. His curriculum vitae includes education and training at Brown University, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Hospital. Dr. Tapper is now expanding upon his interest in venous disease.

Dr. Tapper takes pride in offering you the total package in vein treatment. You will have a full consultation with a board certified vascular surgeon and a treatment plan based on individual needs. Treatment options may include compression stockings, injection sclerotherapy, laser sclerotherapy, micro phlebotomy endovenous ablation and/or EndoVenous Laser Ablation (ELAS). A combination of these procedures may be needed to fully address your individual needs. Robyn Hicks, RN, BSN Laser & Sclerotherapy Specialist, has over 20 years clinical experience which includes GYN, OB Recovery Room Labor & Delivery in Johnson City, TN, Charge Nurse Pediatric Unit at St Joseph’s in Tampa, and currently a Staff Nurse, Obstetrics at Martin Memorial Hospital. Robyn trained with Dr. Tapper Specializing in Laser and Sclerotherapy treatments for spider veins of the legs, face and chest. Her experience and clinical training will guarantee each patient the highest level of care and treatment to achieve the cosmetic results; confirming that “everyone deserves a great pair of legs”.

Kristy Bruns Levin, A.R.N.P., is a Florida native, born and raised in South Florida.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1996 and worked as a registered nurse for 4 years before returning to graduate school.  Kristy graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She worked in women’s health care before specializing in the field of aesthetics.

Melody L. Zieres RDMS, RVT, Certified Vascular Ultrasound Technologist Melody is highly skilled and well trained in all aspects of vascular ultrasound. Her skills performing ultrasound of the lower extremity venous system is instrumental in providing Dr Tapper with the information needed to properly diagnosis patients with venous insufficiency, a leading cause of varicose veins.

Nancy M. Milano, has been Administrative Assistant to Dr Tapper for 12 years. With a BA in Education and several years experience working in the medical office, Nancy is responsible for the daily operations at Symmetry Laser Vein Center. Duties include financial matters, supervising the staff, assisting you with scheduling appointments, procedures and answering any questions you may have. Nancy enjoys working with patients and makes sure that your experience at Symmetry Laser Vein Center is a pleasant one.

The surgical procedure team for Symmetry Laser Vein Center is comprised of Certified Surgical Technicians; highly skilled professionals that are trained to assist in surgical procedures done by Dr Tapper here in the office as well as Martin Memorial Hospital where general & vascular surgeries are performed by Dr Tapper.
